They say the third time is a charm. Well in this case they were right. After two previous failed attempts at purchasing a new home due to contract issues, my husband and I had almost given up on finding us the perfect new home. Then we decided to go through the help choices program the 3rd time who referred us to Mrs. Mary Hood at Keller Williams. We were hesitant to go through a Realtor again, since the first time we tried a Realtor through another company the agent was never available and gave us the runaround. Our 2nd attempt we tried searching ourselves and it didn't work out either. So we decided to try a Realtor once again and were glad we did. Mary was very helpful, friendly, educated, and very prompt with returning phone calls and e-mails the few times she was not available. We wished we would had chose this route the first time and saved ourselves several headaches, time, and money. Buying my first home is an experience I'll never forget! As a full-time traveling consultant trying to make deadlines & communicate with all the involved parties was difficult at times! Mary on the other hand was always there even when my schedule called for speaking with her after hours. Mary explained all of my questions to me even if it meant I had this look of confusion on my face after the second time she tried to explain things! Mary never made me feel like I couldn't ask her the same question multiple times. Mary's patience can not go without being noted. Because we have such difficult time making decorating decisions, Mary agreed to go with us to the design center to assist in making our selections. This was above and beyond the call of duty in our estimation. We had boarded our two dogs for the day so we would not have to leave them in the car. We were assured the selection process would take no more than 3 hours at the most. As the time approached 6PM, we realized we would never have time to finish the selections and make it back in time to pick up the dogs at the kennel. Without hesitation Mary called her husband and asked if he would pick up the dogs and meet us at the design center. When we finally emerged from the design center a couple of hours later there were our dogs happily in the care of Mary's husband and children. Mary's daughter, Regan had walked the dogs for us and they had given them water. Later Regan even modeled our new deck for us while Mary took photos. As you can see, real estate is not just a job with Mary; it is a way of life that involves her whole family. We will never be able to repay Mary for all she and her family have done for us.
